Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge
The Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge is a large, opulent lodge that is well-known for housing endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It takes ten to fifteen minutes to walk to the gorilla trekking briefing point from Nkurungo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge, which is located in the Nkirungo Sector of the four gorilla habituation sectors. The lodge is 45 minutes away by car, while the Rushaga sector briefing point is 23 kilometers away.
Additional amenities include two eating areas and lounges with breathtaking views of the Bwindi Forest and the Virunga Vocanoes. Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge cottages;
The lodge features six cottages with private balconies, fireplaces, and en suite bathrooms that offer expansive views of the Bwindi Forest or the Virungas.
Both solar and electric generators are used to power the plant. Each cottage includes a charging outlet, and charging is possible in the main dining area. Furthermore, WiFi is limited to the dining and lounge areas.
The majority of visitors who select Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge do so for a relaxing wilderness stay, with the possibility of engaging in gorilla trekking the next day. Please be aware that gorilla trekking is not possible without a valid gorilla permit, which costs $800.
If you purchase one at the resort, the fee is $30 per permit. The Uganda Wildlife Authority, or “UWA,” is the regulatory agency that oversees all of Uganda’s national parks and is where you may directly reserve your gorilla permit.
Drive time from Kampala or Entebbe to Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is nine to ten hours.As an alternative, you can take Aerolink Uganda, a domestic airline, from Entebbe International Airport to Kisoro Airstrip, which has a “1:30 hour landing.”
