Day 1: Transfer to Jinja, Visit the Source of the Nile and Jinja City Tour

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and begin the journey to Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital.

The drive takes you through Mabira Forest, local trading centers, and scenic countryside before arriving in Jinja. Your first activity will be a visit to the Source of the Nile, where you will take a boat ride to the point where the Nile begins its journey from Lake Victoria.

Learn about the history of the Nile and enjoy stunning views of the river while taking photographs at one of Africa’s most famous landmarks. After lunch, enjoy a short city tour of Jinja, including visits to selected viewpoints, local craft markets, and areas overlooking the Nile. Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge.

Day 2: White Water Rafting on the Nile and Return to Entebbe or Kampala

After breakfast, transfer to the rafting base for a comprehensive safety briefing by professional rafting instructors.

You will be provided with safety equipment including helmets, life jackets, and paddles before heading to the river. The Nile offers some of the world’s most exciting white water rafting experiences, with a combination of powerful rapids and calmer sections that allow you to enjoy the surrounding scenery.

Throughout the day, experienced guides will lead you through the rapids while safety kayakers accompany the group. A riverside lunch is usually served during the rafting experience. After completing the rafting adventure, return to the rafting base, freshen up, and begin the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.

Arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport.
