1 Day Source of the Nile Tour

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe or Kampala to Jinja, Visit the Source of the Nile and Return

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning and begin the drive to Jinja. The journey takes you through Mabira Forest, local trading centers, and rural communities along the Kampala-Jinja highway.

Upon arrival in Jinja, proceed to the Source of the Nile where you will enjoy a guided boat ride to the point where the Nile River flows out of Lake Victoria and begins its long journey through several African countries.

Your guide will explain the history of the Nile, including the exploration journeys that led to the discovery of its source. You will have plenty of time for photographs and sightseeing while enjoying views of the river and surrounding landscapes.

After the visit, enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant before exploring parts of Jinja town. Depending on time, you may visit local craft markets, view the Nile bridges, and enjoy scenic viewpoints overlooking the river.

In the afternoon, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the evening.
