After your early morning breakfast, drive to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing through which you will get to know the laws and criteria for gorilla trekking in Rwanda. You will have the chance to hire a porter and select a gorilla family among Rwanda’s ten habituated gorilla groups.
Once that step is complete, you will begin monitoring the gorilla group with trackers and rangers. Depending on the location of your specific gorilla family. The activity might last anywhere from 1 to 5 hours. When you see the gorillas, take as many shots as you can. Follow your guide’s advice and remain cool, especially if a gorilla family member approaches you.
Return to the starting point, where your guide will be waiting to take you back to the lodge for lunch and rest. Later in the day, the guide will transport you back to Kigali, to the airport or accommodation.
