The 3 Days Mgahinga Gorilla Tour brings you to Uganda’s smallest, but most stunning national park. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is one of Uganda’s two areas where you may see endangered mountain gorillas. The park comprises 38 square kilometers and is situated on the slopes of three massive volcanoes. It receives fewer visitors and is less well-known than Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Virunga, and Volcanoes National Park.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Welcome to the Pearl of Africa, on arrival the safari guide will pick you up at the airport, have a short briefing about your 3 days Mgahinga gorilla tour then embark on a long drive to Mgahinga Gorilla national park with breathtaking views of the landscape along the way as you drive through the country side, get Prepare to be awed by Southwestern Uganda’s stunning terrain and physical characteristics.
Have a stop for lunch in fort portal town and thereafter proceed to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, arriving in the evening, continue to the lodge where you will check in for dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga – Batwa Trail
Early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the park warden or rangers before the trekking starts. Mgahinga National Park contains just one habituated gorilla family (Nyakagezi).
As you begin your quest for the gorillas, keep an eye out for birds and smaller primates. You will pass through dense bamboo woods at greater altitudes than usual. Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga requires a lot of physical exertion depending on the location of the gorilla population, but you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Virunga Volcanoes and beautiful African forest. You may even become exhausted, but you will quickly forget once you get next to the mountain gorillas.
Enjoy a full hour with the great apes and hereafter head back to the lodge for refreshments as you get ready for the Batwa cultural trail in the evening. The Batwa were the long inhabitants of the forest visiting them will reward you with a lot of experience when you meet and interact with the locals and learn more about the Batwa people and their culture. You will also be entertained through local dances and others local projects. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Departure(Mgahinga Gorilla Tour)
Wake up and have your breakfast as you witness the beauty of nature around the lodge. Check out of the lodge and embark on your journey back to Kampala then to Entebbe. This will be a lengthy ride, but the stunning grass plains, hills, mountains, valleys, and overall panoramic vistas of western Uganda will keep you entertained.
You will have a stopover at the equator for photoshoot. Lunch will be enroute. Continue with your journey arriving in Kampala in the evening where the guide will drop you off at the Entebbe Airport in time for your departure flight or at the hotel. Marking the end of the 3 days safari in Uganda,
