3 Days Queen Elizabeth safari

Overview

The 3-day Queen Elizabeth safari will take you to Uganda’s most visited national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, which sits on 1,978 km2 in the western portion of the country, roughly 376 kilometers from Kampala. It is home to a variety of habitats, including brilliant lakes, the Kazinga Channel, huge savannah, humid woods, and lush wetlands.
The park is home to over 100 animal species and 606 bird species: you will be in line to view large numbers of antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes, among others, on game drives across the park and on a boat tour down the Kazinga channel, which bisects the park.

Detailed Itinerary(Queen Elizabeth safari)

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On arrival, you be received by your safari guide who will brief you before embarking on the 6-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth. Stop at Kayabwe for the equator and another stop in Mbarara town for lunch.

Driving through the beautiful scenery and arriving at the park late afternoon.

Proceed with enroute game drive to the park where you will be able to see some of the common mammals grazing along your long. On arrival, check in to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Meal plan: Lunch and dinner

Day 2: Morning game drive and an evening boat cruise.

Start your day with an early morning breakfast followed by a game drive around the park’s several trails, including the Kasenyi path.

Along the Kasenyi route, you may witness a variety of creatures like water bucks, Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and other birds.

After the trip, return to your accommodation for breakfast and lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy a 2-hour boat ride along the Kazinga channel, where you expect to see the large schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, warthogs, elephants, and kobs, as well as a variety of birds such as malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans on the banks and in trees.

Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Departure.(Queen Elizabeth safari)

With the wonderful recollections of the previous two days, you will have a hearty and delicious breakfast. Then check out of the lodge and start your return journey back to Kampala. Enjoy your lunch along the way. Continue with another stop at the Mpambire drum center to observe how people make drums and to shop for souvenirs before continuing to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
