Our 3 days Gorilla Habituation Experience is one of the greatest safaris we provide at All in Africa Safaris, and it is primarily designed for individuals who want to spend more time with our closest relatives, the mountain gorillas, since the trip allows you to learn more from researchers and rangers.
Take notice of the following:
Seeing Mountain Gorillas in their native environment of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is such a wonderful experience that one would not want to miss in a lifetime, with their soulful brown eyes, beauty, and astounding human-like emotions and behaviours. Four hours of hiking with these gentle apes is the most fantastic experience of a lifetime.
This Uganda Gorilla Habituation excursion allows you to spend more time with the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas. Detailed Itinerary
Day one: Depart Entebbe or Kampala on your first day of Uganda Gorilla habituation experience
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is a 9-10 hour journey away. It’s a long journey, but it’s worth it since you get to experience the countryside landscape and some of the most magnificent natural photographs of Bwindi. Our driver will stop whenever you need him to so that you may catch those lovely moments on camera.
You will stop en route at the Equator crossing for photos and easy experimentation with an interesting talk before heading to Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch, you will take a lovely drive via Kabale to Bwindi National Park, arriving at your lodge in the evening.
Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Meals – Lunch and Dinner
Drive time; Approximately 8-9 hours’ drive
Day two: Gorilla Habituation trekking
After an early breakfast, you will travel to the Park headquarters to register and join others for a gorilla habituation trekking briefing about the dos and don’ts of your Uganda four-hour Gorilla habituation Tour. After that, you’ll hike through dense creepers and foliage with your ranger escorts to find the gorillas, which might take anything from 30 minutes to three-quarters of the day.
The heavily wooded area is quite thick, although it is crisscrossed by numerous animal pathways that enable people access. Other monkeys, birds, and unusual tree species are likely to be spotted throughout your trip. Please keep in mind that the four hours begin when you discover new mountain gorilla paths; following your hike, you will return to the Park headquarters for a debrief.
Being around these gorgeous yet endangered Creatures is a fantastic sensation. You will receive a certificate for engaging in gorilla habituation hiking and so helping to mountain gorilla conservation.
Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Meals –Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.
Day Three: Ending the tour
After breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala or Entebbe for your post-tour hotel, or you may choose to fly out of Uganda today. You’ll take the same Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour road you came in on, allowing you to breathe in some fresh country air one more time.
