15 Days Kenya , Rwanda and Uganda safari

Overview

This 15-day Wildlife and Primate Safari will provide you with an excellent opportunity to travel and explore Kenya and Uganda in-depth, before concluding in Rwanda. You will have a terrific experience visiting Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara and crossing across to Uganda. You will be able to visit four of Uganda’s most popular national parks for a terrific wildlife encounter, giving you a better chance of seeing the Big Five as well as chimps and gorillas in their natural habitats.

This will be an unforgettable life experience since you will be able to complete the Kenya-Uganda safari in just 15 days with us. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Transfer to Hotel

Your safari guide will welcome you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on arrive, you will be driven to the hotel in Nairobi where you will check in and rest from the flight. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at the lodge, meet your safari guide have a pre-safari briefing, and start your drive to Masai Mara. This will be a magnificent journey across the Great Rift Valley and the Kenyan highlands. Arrive and check into your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. You will then go on an afternoon game drive. Overnight stay and meal at the lodge

Day 3 and Day 4: Explore Masai Mara

You will spend two full days exploring and experiencing the enormous Mara reserve, including game drives to look for resident Big Cats, antelopes, and bird species. Look for lions, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, elands, gazelles, hippos, leopards, black rhinos, and a variety of other animals and birds.

Masai mara is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife reserves and is home to the Big Five, as well as other predators, scavengers, plains game, and a diverse bird population. This is also the location of the annual wildebeest migration, which takes place every year between July and October and involves around 1.2 million wildebeest and zebras crossing from the Serengeti in search of richer pastures. Day 5: Transfer from Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha National Park

Breakfast at your lodge, check out around 0800 hours, and drive to Lake Naivasha. Lunch at your resort. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the gorgeous vistas and pleasant wind by the lakeshore. You may also schedule a picturesque boat trip to come up close with Hippos and other animals, as well as a guided stroll on Crescent Island, and pay locally. Overnight stay and meal at the lodge

Day 6: Transfer from Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

Have breakfast and then drive to Lake Nakuru. You take a quick rest while you travel down the Rift Valley floor. Check in and have lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drives in the park. The major attractions here are rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and the seasonal lesser Flamingos, while other animal and bird species also live here. Dinner and overnight stay in the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Kampala

Breakfast is served early in the morning at your lodging. Check out of your accommodations and head toward the Busia border. Lunch in Kisumu City and then proceed to Busia border. Welcome to Uganda, continue with the drive to Kampala, for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

After breakfast at 0700 hrs., you will be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park, one of Uganda’s most visited national parks, where you will have the opportunity to see the Big 5, with a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an on-foot Rhino tracking experience. You will then enter the park and be greeted by the sight of some animals as you make your way to your lodge.

You’ll spend the evening unwinding at your lodge. Overnight and Dinner at the Lodge

Day 9: Game drive and Boat cruise at Murchison Falls NP

Start the day with a cup of African coffee and prepare for an early morning wildlife drive. Your guide will assist you in spotting elephants, lions, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyenas, and, if you are lucky, leopards. Lunch will be given over the course of the day. In the afternoon, you take a boat journey along the Nile River to the Murchison Falls.

Carefully watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, apes, and the rest of the Nile’s thirsty wildlife, you descend to the bottom of the 43-meter-high and famous Murchison Falls, which approaches you with a thunderous sound as a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43 meters below. This is also a habitat for several bird species, including the Goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant, and the unusual shoebill stork. Day 10: Transfer from Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale Forest National Park.

In the morning, you will take a leisurely drive through the green countryside to Kibale Forest National Park, stopping along the way for viewing, including distant views of the Rift Valley escarpment. You will arrive in Kibale Forest National Park in the late afternoon and spend the evening relaxing at the lodge as you wait for nighttime and supper.

Day 11: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen.

Today, start your day with an early breakfast and then travel to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting chimp tracking, where you may see other primates like as Vervet Monkeys, Blue Hoest Monkeys, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, and more.

Return to the resort for lunch, and then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular savannah parks, located in the country’s west. Queen Elizabeth offers a spectacular view of the Kazinga channel, which is colorful with a variety of species visible from a distance, making boat trips in this park unique and enjoyable. Evening leisure in the lodge, where you may rest. Overnight and Dinner at the Lodge

Day 12: Morning Game drive and afternoon launch cruise

In the morning, you will proceed on an early morning game drive to the Kasenyi area for further game-watching, expecting to encounter a range of animal species, including big cats and various antelope species.

You’ll eventually return to the resort for a late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, meet in the Kazinga Canal for a launch excursion that will reward you with views of hippos, crocodiles, and other creatures. Overnight and Dinner

Day 13: Transfer to Bwindi National Park.

Following a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embarking on a breathtaking journey to Bwindi National Park, located in the country’s south and noted for housing half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas as well as a birding paradise. This is the world’s most luxuriant highland rainforest, home to monkeys and unusual birds, as well as valleys, hilltops, and papyrus swamps. On arrival, check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Gorilla Trekking Experience.

Start the day with breakfast and prepare for mountain gorilla trekking, which begins at 0800hrs with a briefing from UWA personnel. Make sure you bring a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, etc. Thereafter, you will be accompanied to the starting point of trek.

Don’t forget to bring your lunch boxes and all of the essential equipment to follow the endangered Mountain Gorilla, which is one of the most exciting wildlife encounters on earth. The tracking may take 2 to 6 hours, but it is definitely worth the effort. The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the rural settlements surrounding the park. Dinner and overnight

Day 15: Transfer from Bwindi Forest to Kigali.

Have breakfast and thereafter, exit Bwindi and drive and cross the border to Kigali. On arrival, you may opt for a brief Kigali city tour depending on your departure flight. You will visit some places like Kigali genocide memorial ground, where over 250000 victims of the Kigali genocide were brutally murdered, the Rwanda local market, the art Museum, you will later visit Kimironko local market for last minute shopping. You will have lunch in Kigali and after, you will be drop off at the Airport to catch your departure fight back home.
