Cuckoo land Tented Lodge
Cuckoo Land Tented Lodge: Located just on the border of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Cuckooland Bwindi is a cozy, compact lodge. The lodge is situated on ten acres of land and offers breathtaking views of the forest.
There are four large, well-furnished double tents at the lodge. In actuality, the tents were set up on platforms made of wood, including a spacious veranda and a thatched roof. Every apartment has a separate shower and toilet with hot water.
Less than 20 meters separate Cuckooland Tented Lodge from the forest’s edge, offering an excellent vantage point for observing the diverse monkeys and abundant wildlife. Birds and primates are drawn to the region because of the fruiting trees that border the forest edge.
Many of the organic fruits and vegetables grown on the property are used in the restaurant’s delectable dishes, which are served in a setting with a commanding view of the surrounding forest. The resort is situated two kilometers from the road and the closest residential residences, which are in the little community of Murushasha, Ruhija.
Visitors are guaranteed peace and quiet at the lodge, where the only sounds are those of the forest. Situated in Ruhija Sector, one of Bwindi National Park’s four gorilla sectors, it is easily accessible from Cuckooland Bwindi, which is 15 kilometers away and takes between 30 to 40 minutes. Ruhija Sector is also one of the closest gorilla tracking stations.

Gorilla trekking, birdwatching, forest strolling, community walks, Batwa cultural experiences, gorilla habitat, and mountain biking are just a few of the activities available at Bwindi National Park.
The most charming activity in Bwindi is gorilla trekking, which begins with a briefing early in the morning. A park ranger will then guide you over hiking routes to find the designated gorilla troop. After assigning the group, you get an hour to witness their incredible way of life, including eating, playing, and making priceless films.
Visit the Batwa people. You will receive a good impression and an interesting experience of their traditional dance, music, and clothing code. You will also hear their ancient stories about how they used to coexist with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Birding: You can choose to engage in birdwatching during your stay at Cuckooland Lodge, where you can see a variety of bird species, including the Black Bee-eater, Doherty’s Bush Shrike, Green-headed Oriole, Handsome Spurfowl, Regal Sunbird, and more.
