Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and City Tour
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred for a brief Kigali city tour. Depending on your arrival time, you may visit some of the city’s attractions and learn about Rwanda’s history, culture, and remarkable transformation.
After lunch, continue to Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda. The drive takes approximately two and a half hours through the beautiful rolling hills that have earned Rwanda the nickname “Land of a Thousand Hills.”
Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon and check in. Spend the evening relaxing while enjoying views of the Virunga Mountains.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi for registration and a briefing by park rangers. You will be assigned a gorilla family and informed about the trekking rules and safety guidelines.
Begin your trek through the dense forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Trekking duration varies depending on the location of the gorilla family and may take between one and several hours.
Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch them feed, play, groom each other, and care for their young while your ranger provides fascinating information about their behaviour and conservation.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. The remainder of the day can be spent enjoying the lodge surroundings or participating in an optional cultural activity.

Day 3: Transfer Back to Kigali and Departure
