This 1-day short gorilla trekking trip package to Bwindi Forest is designed for clients who do not have much time but want to track gorillas. Traveling from Kigali to Bwindi is very reliable and a short drive compared to that from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi.

Sited on 321km2 Bwindi’s impenetrable national park is home to half the world’s mountain gorillas, 51 reptile species, 120 mammals, 357 bird species, and many more.

Day 1: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking from Kigali and departure

You will get up fairly early to eat breakfast at your hotel. A guide will pick you up between 5 and 6 a.m., from Kigali, and start your drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park leaving with packed lunch.

The briefing at the park headquarters normally lasts between 7:30 and 8 a.m. intended to take you through the trekking rules and guidelines before the trekking commences.

You will be divided into groups of eight and assigned to one of the 15 habituated gorilla families within the park based on your overall fitness and preferences.
