About Uganda Safaris and Gorilla Trekking

“Over the years now, tourism is proving to be Uganda’s main foreign exchange earner, providing employment to a good percentage of the nation’s population. Hence cubing down the unemployment problem.”  Winston Churchill described Uganda as a fairy tale land, calling it the “Pearl of Africa” . It is here that the ancient kingdoms of Buganda, Bunyoro and Ankole flourished long before the first European explorers came in search of the source of the Nile.During the colonial times it was regarded as the most beautiful and potentially the richest country in East Africa. Now, after many years of civil turbulence under Idi Amin and Milton Obote, Uganda has settled down once more under the rule of president Museveni and has rebuilt its important tourism industry. Uganda is indeed a beautiful country: a green and fertile land of high plateaus, luxuriant tropical forests, papyrus –swamps where the bizarre and endangered shoebill can still be found.

Uganda is home to more than half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world in its renowned Bwindi and Mgahinga National parks. The open plains of Murchison falls and Queen Elizabeth National parks are the best for game viewing flourishing with antelopes, buffalo and elephants that can be watched against a black drop of the mysterious Rwenzori range. The great forests of Kibale Forest are home to thousands of chimpanzees as well as well as birds. Also Bwindi Impenetrable forest, the home to the mighty mountain Gorillas and also known to be the number one birding spot in Africa.

We offer exciting tours and safaris in Uganda. These tours range from mountain gorilla tracking, chimpanzee tracking, game viewing, birding and other adventures in East Africa.
